For the FineReader Engine dynamic library, the standard libstdc++.so.6, libgccs.so.1 and libgomp.so.1 libraries have to be used. If you need ABBYY FineReader Engine for older glibc versions, please contact the ABBYY office. (Not compatible with Mac OS) and what computer operating system is on your computer? And, when you put the CD for the VuPoint into your computer, did you try clicking upon the CD icon in your system, and starting the SETUP program (if there was one on the CD and it did not automatically start upon inserting the CD) ? Cropping is done with Ctrl-E, though it can seemingly only crop off the right hand side and the bottom side of the image, if you go to Image - Flip/Rotate, and choose to Flip Horizontal and apply that, you can crop off (what was) the left side of the image, and then apply Flip Horizontal after that to return the image to its original orientation. Resizing, for instance, is done by Image - Stretch/Skew, and fill in a percentage value for Stretch (which will enlarge the image if percentages applied are over 100 %, and reduce the image in size if they are below 100 %). Then you can use the editing controls of Paint.
